Connect a phone

Check text from your iPhone or Android phone with one tap.

Share text to a shortcut. It sends it to the API and shows the verdict.
Use a key just for the phoneA key saved on a phone can be read by anyone who has the phone unlocked. Create a separate key for each phone and label it (for example Ada iPhone). If the phone is lost, revoke that one key.

iPhone and iPad (Shortcuts app)

  1. Create a shortcutOpen Shortcuts, tap +, name it Check claim. In the shortcut's settings turn on Show in Share Sheet and set it to accept Text.
  2. Send the textAdd the action Get Contents of URL. URL: https://api.chatniai.com/v1/check. Tap Show More: Method POST. Headers: Authorization = Bearer pij_live_YOUR_KEY. Request Body: JSON. Add a Text field text set to Shortcut Input, and a Boolean field async set to on.
  3. Get the job IDAdd Get Dictionary Value for the key job_id from the previous result. Add Set Variable named job.
  4. Wait and askAdd Repeat 12 times. Inside: Wait 15 seconds, then Get Contents of URL with URL https://api.chatniai.com/v1/job/ followed by the job variable, same Authorization header, method GET. Then Get Dictionary Value for state. Add If state is done with Stop this shortcut after showing the result.
  5. Show the answerAfter the loop, take Dictionary Value result, then claims, then the first item and show the verdict and summary in a Show Result action.
  6. Use itIn Safari, Notes or WhatsApp, select text, tap Share, then Check claim.

Android

Android has no built-in shortcut tool of this kind. The free, open-source HTTP Shortcuts app does it well (install it from Google Play or F-Droid).

  1. Create a shortcutOpen HTTP Shortcuts and tap +, then Regular Shortcut. Name it Check claim.
  2. Set the requestMethod POST, URL https://api.chatniai.com/v1/check. Under Headers add Authorization = Bearer pij_live_YOUR_KEY. Under Request Body choose Custom text, type application/json, and enter {"text": "(insert the claim variable here)", "async": true}.
  3. Ask for the textCreate a variable named claim of type Text, and tick Ask each time (or use Share so you can share text from other apps).
  4. Show the job IDUnder Response Handling choose Show dialog. Copy the job ID.
  5. Collect the resultMake a second shortcut: method GET, URL https://api.chatniai.com/v1/job/ followed by the jobid variable, same header, with a variable jobid you type or paste. Wait 1 to 3 minutes, then run it.

Without a shortcut

If setting this up feels like too much, ask your owner to run the checks in a spreadsheet (Google Sheets) or to connect a no-code tool (Zapier, Make, n8n) so your team uses a form or a chat message instead.
